Alderney’s gaming regulator adds Andrew Gellatly to its team

Andrew Gellatly will be joining the Channel Island’s gambling regulator as an executive director

After an extensive search to fill the role, the AGCC has chosen one of the industry’s most well-known people, Andrew Gellatly, to be its third ever executive director since the regulator’s founding in the year 2000.

Gellatly will bring a wealth of experience to his new role, as he has been in the industry for over 2.5 decades. His expertise is mainly in the journalism and consulting side of the industry, as Gellatly has started two highly successful companies in those verticals, iGaming Business and VIXIO Gambling Compliance. Furthermore, Gellatly has also been a reporter at Financial times in the past, focusing on the gambling and sports industries.

Andrew has built quite a reputation for himself during his many years in the industry, as he has shown to be very knowledgeable of the intricacies of the sector. We are eager to have Andrew represent our organization and to develop our regulatory strategies to ensure that our high standards are met by our license holders.

stated the chair of the AGCC, Lord Faulkner of Worcester.

I am excited to join the AGCC at the perfect time as the ever-changing iGaming industry is getting more and more complex. Quickly growing markets around the world are presenting excellent opportunities for the industry’s international players. In my new position it is my aim to expand Alderney’s already excellent international presence, as it is going to be vital to thrive in the sector.

remarked the new appointee, Andrew Gellatly.
