Argentina streamlines iGaming operator registration in tax registry

The Argentine tax authority, ARCA, has introduced updated regulations for iGaming operators looking to operate in Argentina through Resolution 5791/2025, published on November 20, 2025.

Under the new rules, applications for registration in the tax registry will now be processed within 60 days, and ARCA will publish a list of registered operators on its website, including the individual tax rate assigned to each operator.

Payment providers will apply the tax according to the rates listed when processing transactions. Once an operator’s registration is approved, they will receive an official certificate, and the assigned tax rate will take effect starting from the next two-week period. Operators have the right to appeal in cases of denied registration, removal from the registry, or assigned tax rate, with a 15-day window to file such appeals.

For applications submitted before November 25, 2025, the 60-day processing period will begin from that date. Operators benefiting from preferential tax rates are required to annually confirm workforce growth and maintain the number of permanent employees at or above the stipulated minimum.

These updates aim to provide greater transparency, streamline the regulatory process for iGaming operators, and ensure compliance with Argentine tax obligations while fostering a more structured gaming market.
