Kaizen Gaming has launched its Betano brand in Ghana, marking its first new market entry of 2026. This is the 20th regulated market for the company as it continues to expand its iGaming and sports betting presence globally.
Kaizen Gaming officials such as George Skarlatos, Director of Business Development, Daniel Lamberti, Senior Business Development Advisor, Joseph Owusu Badu, Country Manager for Ghana, were joined by The Gaming Commission Of Ghana. The operator stated that the entry is in line with the group’s overall strategy to expand iGaming and sports betting through locally regulated frameworks.
Ghana is the latest member of Kaizen Gaming’s international portfolio that currently covers Europe, the Americas, and Africa. Besides the development of proprietary technology and compliance systems, the company still sees regulated market access as a very important element of its iGaming growth strategy.
Following its sponsorship of footballs, the company is now making its entry into Ghana’s market. This step signifies their arrival in Africa where, as smartphone usage and online payment adoption continue to rise, are the main targets of international operators. In accordance with the national licensing regulations and responsible gambling standards, the operator will provide sports betting and iGaming products under Ghana’s regulatory framework. Kaizen Gaming revealed that their launch into Ghana is part of a bigger plan for them to create a scalable and compliant iGaming operation in multiple regions. They consider regulation, technology, and local operations to be the pillars of their global strategy.
George Skarlatos, Director of Business Development, Betano commented:
Ghana is a market with strong long-term potential, an increasingly tech-oriented population, and a clear commitment to building a structured and transparent regulatory environment. Through our strong local partnerships, and with responsibility fully embedded across our technology, processes and operations, we are fully aligned with Ghana’s regulatory framework to support a safe, well-functioning and trusted experience for all players from day one.
Mr. Emmanuel Siisi Quainoo, Acting Commissioner of the Ghana Gaming Commission, said:
We welcome Betano’s entry into Ghana. Ensuring high standards are met by all operators is crucial in safeguarding player protection and maintaining market integrity. Kaizen Gaming and Betano show clear commitment to these principles, and we look forward to their continued cooperation and focus on upholding safe operations for all.
