The Better Gambling Forum (BGF) has put out a call for an open consultation to help further evolve and enhance the Responsible Gambling Triple-P (RG3P) Framework that is still work-in-progress. This report came about through the UN General Assembly discussions.
Through the six core areas outlined in the draft framework, the BGF is looking to get feedback from the stakeholders on the different aspects of player protection that include Education, Risk Detection and Intervention, Support, Ethical Practices, and Research.
The consultation refers to the BGFs United Nations report which contains the main issues and findings of the dialogues/workshops held in different stakeholder groups during the UN General Assembly in New York, in September 2025.
The Better Gambling Forum participants will get the report straight. Those stakeholders who desire to be involved in the consultation or request the report are invited to get in touch with the BGF for further details.
The consultation formulates questions along six main pillars but also accommodates real cases from all over the world, the identification of stakeholders or perspectives not yet involved, the research or evidence that supports or refutes the assumptions, and any pragmatic concerns regarding the implementation.
The feedback received will directly affect the next version of the framework, which will be further reviewed and developed through regional consultations and global forums in 2026, including special sessions at the upcoming G7 and G20 meetings.
Emphasizing that the initiative is aligned with broader brain capital and prevention priorities and that the work is being turned into concrete policy and industry actions, BGF members manifested the updates of the initiative at the World Economic Forum in Davos and ICE Barcelona.
BGF is a collaborative initiative of the Brain Capital Alliance, in association with the G7/G20, United Nations, and World Economic Forum, aiming at developing a global, evidence, based, player protection and harm prevention approach.
Shawn Fluharty, Chair of the BGF Steering Committee and Head of Government Affairs at Play’n GO, said:
We launched the six pillars of the RG3P last year, providing jurisdictions with a practical blueprint for establishing a gold standard in harm prevention, treatment, and regulation. After intense discussions with policymakers, researchers, regulators, and industry executives, areas that need further examination were identified and we now welcome feedback from stakeholders to strengthen the policies. Significant work remains, particularly meaningful consultation with indigenous communities and deeper exploration of how cultural context should inform responsible gambling frameworks. We present these concepts not as finished products but as working hypotheses requiring additional input, challenge, and refinement.
