Bruno Mars owes $50 million to MGM casino for poker debts

Reports on March 16th revealed Bruno Mars is facing significant financial obligations to the MGM casino, purportedly stemming from substantial poker losses.

Known for hits like “Talking to the Moon,” Mars had a multi-year residency at the Park MGM in Las Vegas, where he frequently performed.

MGM asserts considerable financial influence over Mars, claiming he earns $90 million annually from their deal, although this is offset by his debts, post-tax. The singer reportedly pockets $1.5 million per night.

Initially, in 2016, there was much fanfare surrounding Mars’ partnership with the hospitality industry, promising exclusive performances across various top-tier venues. The president of MGM Grand lauded Mars as one of the world’s premier talents, expressing enthusiasm for their long-term collaboration. However, the once-amicable relationship now seems strained by the mounting debts owed to the casino.
