The Rome Cavalieri hotel hosted another edition of the EGR Italy Awards, one of the most anticipated events in Italy’s regulated online gambling industry. The ceremony brought together operators, providers and affiliates to honour the companies and professionals who distinguished themselves over the past year.
The 2026 edition introduced several new categories, including “Affiliate Network of the Year”, “Outstanding Contribution to the Italian Market” and “Operator Performance Award”, alongside well-established awards such as “Affiliate of the Year”, “Casino Innovation” and “Best Customer Service”.
Among the finalists was Casino2k, which was shortlisted in two categories: “Casino Affiliate” and “Affiliate of the Year”. For an Italian affiliate portal like ours, active in the regulated gambling market for almost 20 years, this marked another important appearance at the event, following our victory in the “Casino Affiliate” category in 2025.
Alongside its editorial activities, Casino2k has developed a community dedicated to supporting Italian players. Through its forum, the platform has helped users recover more than €1.9 million in winnings.
The three co-founders, Matteo Giannone, Salvatore Martorana and Stefano Franceschetti, attended the ceremony, which also provided an opportunity to meet other industry professionals and celebrate the achievements of the Italian gambling market.
Matteo Giannone, Co-founder of Casino2k, commented on the event:
Taking part in an event like the EGR Italy Awards is always a special experience. Being surrounded by so many fellow professionals who share our passion for this industry reminds us how much the Italian market has developed over the years. We are delighted that Casino2k has once again been shortlisted in two categories and, although we didn’t win this time, we are particularly grateful to everyone who contributes to our work and the growth of our community.
Although Casino2k did not win an award this year, the company welcomed its double nomination and congratulated Hub Affiliations, which won both categories.
