The MGA‘s Governors Board has chosen Charles Mizzi to enter the company as the new Chief Executive Officer, which is effective from the beginning of 2024.
This update comes into force after a screening procedure and a public call that was released on October 30, 2023. Mr. Mizzi will collaborate closely with Dr. Brincat over January to make sure that the Authority’s leadership transitions smoothly.
Charles Mizzi, the new CEO of MGA, mentioned:
I feel privileged to assume the controlling position of the Authority. I am enthusiastic about expanding upon the achievements of the past and, in collaboration with the team, guided by the Minister in charge and the Board of Governors, I am targeted to propel the Authority forward. Our main purpose is to reinforce the country’s already powerful status, all while making sure that value is provided to all stakeholders.
Silvio Schembri, the Minister of the Economy of EU Funds and Lands, remarked:
With his huge practice in overseeing the activities of various companies and his significant investments into chief projects, Charles Mizzi is unquestionably ideal for pushing forward the accomplishments of the Authority. I am more than sure that he will steer his outstanding Authority colleagues towards more success down the road.
After a few years leading the Residency Malta Agency, Mr. Mizzi was crucial in helping the regulating body achieve its mission of making Malta one of the most respected and sought-after places to live. The Board of Governors is certain he will keep fortifying the strong foundations established at the Authority. He is a well-known, results-driven expert with proficient knowledge in operational leadership.
