Christian Rasmussen named co-CEO at Better Collective

Better Collective has appointed its co-founder and former COO, Christian Kirk Rasmussen, as co-CEO alongside current CEO Jesper Søgaard.

This leadership change is part of a wider strategic reorganisation to support the company’s next growth phase.

Jesper Søgaard, the CEO of Better Collective, mentioned:

Over the past year, we have taken a look inward to optimise and strategically align our business and organisation for our next phase of growth.

For more than 20 years, we have been “a band of brothers”, having utilised our individual qualities, competencies, and personalities to drive the development of Better Collective alongside some great colleagues.

With Christian’s new role, he will free up time and resources to have a stronger focus on innovation, product development, and future growth opportunities, whereas my role remains unchanged.

In 2024, the company grew revenue by 14% to €371 million, with recurring revenue up 21% to €231 million. Brazil played a key role, contributing €70 million. However, upcoming regulatory shifts—such as a 26% GGR tax and account reactivation rules—are expected to cut 2025 revenue by €35–€50 million.

To soften the impact, Better Collective fast-tracked a cost-saving strategy in late 2024. This included trimming salaries, scaling back content, closing offices, and reducing procurement costs—achieving €15 million in quarterly savings and targeting €50 million in annual savings for 2025.
