RealBet.io markets itself as a high-end betting and entertainment platform. McGregor is positioned as the brand’s face, and the website sells casino and live casino items.
McGregor worked with Real World Gaming to build a cryptocurrency token called REAL earlier this year. The token’s goal was to raise at least $1 million USD, but it only managed to achieve $340,000 out of a target of $3.6 million before being canceled.
McGregor wrote in his X account:
I always wanted to own a casino!
In a world where celebrity-backed cryptocurrency debuts occasionally leave investors empty-handed, McGregor’s reimbursement of all investors was praised by industry journalists as a unique action. The announcement concluded with: “This is not the end.”
In addition to Proper No. Twelve Irish whiskey, Forged Irish Stout, and several other commercial endorsements, McGregor’s most recent venture is RealBet.io. The casino partnership’s financial arrangements were not made public.
McGregor’s Prior Venture Into the World of Online Gambling
Prior to opening his own casino, McGregor showed interest in the gaming sector. The Irish fighter joined Duelbits, a cryptocurrency-based online casino, as an ambassador in 2024. He participated in promotional competitions and even tried his hand at casino streaming. Duelbits launched the Race Against the Notorious Duel competition as part of the collaboration, encouraging users to climb the leaderboard in order to win monthly rewards. On May 20, McGregor took part in the first live-streamed event, engaging with fans and participating in a variety of games. Football player Luis Suárez served as an ambassador for Duelbits, a Curaçao-licensed company that has been in business since 2020.
This earlier partnership demonstrated McGregor’s increasing interest in online gambling and hinted at his plans to open his own casino.
