DigiPlus & PAGCOR: Play Protection and Improved Gambling Platforms

DigiPlus Interactive Corp. is partnering with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) to strengthen the gaming industry that aligns with the government action addressing gambling-related concerns in the Philippines. The partnership was announced in Taguig City.

The head of ArenaPlus, DigiPlus’ premium sports betting platform, Erick Su, points out how gambling operators are responsible for promoting a safe and responsible player with PAGCOR regulations. He noted how they are trying to enhance player protection and introduce new tools that allow users to have a betting limit and opt into self-exclusion.

Su also mentioned how the company is trying to design tools that will detect potential problem gambling behavior with activity analysis.

To broaden the industry efforts, DigiPlus also collaborates with regulators and stakeholders for Responsible Gaming Month activities scheduled for August. They aim to raise more awareness about player responsibility and risks linked with excessive playing.

The company notes how the strategy includes safeguards, educational motives, and collaboration between regulatory bodies and the iGaming industry.

DigiPlus announced the selection of Ping Chen as its new president. Chen succeeds Andy Tsui, who was the president for 4 years.

Chen is experienced with various leadership roles that are connected with technology and services companies in Asia.
