Educational platform to prevent match-fixing launched at BiS SiGMA South America 2026 was supported by Esportes da Sorte.
The sports integrity agenda based on prevention and education, advocated as a pillar of the regulated market by Esportes Gaming Brasil, has gained national scale. The group, which owns the Esportes da Sorte brand, supports the educational platform launched by the Ministry of Sport and the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) to train athletes in identifying and preventing match-fixing in betting.
Developed by Sportradar, the platform is an online training programme that can be used by any club or athlete in the country. The company has already conducted several training sessions at clubs sponsored by the brand, such as Corinthians, Ceará, Náutico and Ferroviária. Now, Esportes da Sorte’s pioneering initiative becomes national public policy.
The tool was presented on Tuesday during the opening of BiS SiGMA South America in São Paulo, in a panel featuring the group’s CEO, Darwin Filho. According to the executive, the initiative reinforces that sports integrity is built through education and prevention.
Darwin Filho said:
We believe prevention is the most effective way to combat match-fixing and protect the integrity of competitions. This platform was created to expand access to technical knowledge and enhance athletes’ ability to respond. Our goal is to contribute to a more honest, transparent and safe sporting environment.
Aimed at athletes across various sports covered by betting, the platform seeks to strengthen a culture of transparency and fair play, and is expected to be available from May, according to the initiative’s materials.
For ANJL president Plínio Lemos Jorge, the initiative reinforces sports integrity as the foundation of responsible gaming in a regulated market.
ANJL president Plínio Lemos Jorge said:
Match-fixing is the opposite of what professional and licensed betting operators want. These are large companies operating in Brazil and abroad, many of them publicly listed in various parts of the world. Therefore, transparency and fair play are essential for the sector, and the partnership with the Ministry of Sport is another concrete initiative towards this goal.
The platform’s content has been structured into modules and validated by the involved entities, covering everything from the scale of the problem to its consequences and prevention methods, with reference to standards adopted in mature regulated markets.
Felippe Marchetti, Sportradar LATAM Integrity Director, explained:
This partnership represents a fundamental step in raising awareness among athletes and protecting those most exposed to risks. At the same time, our educational platform will contribute to training law enforcement, supporting the interpretation of reports and strengthening integrity actions.
