Grand Korea Leisure casino revenue drops to $21 million

In March, Grand Korea Leisure (GKL), a casino operator that serves only foreigners, reported casino revenue of KRW32.0 billion (approximately US$21.2 million), down 22.8% year-over-year, but up 16.0% from February.

The decrease is somewhat surprising, given that the drop amount increased 13.5% year-over-year and 18.8% month-over-month to KRW339.3 billion ($225 million).

Total table games revenue was down 26.0% year-over-year to KRW28.4 billion ($18.8 million), while total electronic (machine) revenue was up 17.8% to KRW3.54 billion ($2.3 million) compared with March of this year and February of this year, respectively.

Following its decision to abandon plans to acquire the land where the Seven Luck Casino is located in Seoul’s Dragon City development, GKL has reported casino revenue of KRW425.3 billion US$294 million for fiscal year end 2025.

GKL currently operates three casinos in South Korea under the brand name Seven Luck, located in Seoul and Busan.
