Jette Nygaard-Andersen has resigned from her position as the CEO of the prominent gambling company, Entain, effective immediately.
Since January 2021, Nygaard-Andersen has served as the CEO of Entain, transitioning from her prior role as a non-executive director.
Her tenure began following her time at Modern Times Group, stepping into the position left vacant by Shay Segev, who departed to join the sports streaming platform Dazn.
In the interim period while Entain conducts its search for a permanent replacement, Stella David, the current non-executive director, will assume the position of CEO starting this week.
Barry Gibson, the Chairman of Entain, expressed appreciation for Nygaard-Andersen’s leadership, acknowledging her contributions during her time at the helm. He said:
Under Jette’s guidance, Entain has undergone a substantial strategic realignment, focusing on regulated or regulating markets.
Gibson added that the company has revamped its governance structure, overhauled its performance, and made significant enhancements to its offerings. With Stella David at the helm, Entain is fortunate to have a highly experienced and commercially astute leader with a proven track record of success across various industries. They are confident that she will swiftly guide them toward the company’s strategic objectives while they diligently search for a permanent CEO.
