Light & Wonder revenue falls 2% in Q3 2026

Light & Wonder reported a 2% year-on-year decline in third-quarter revenue. The growth of company’s iGaming division was offset by weaker results across its Gaming and SciPlay businesses.

In Q3 revenue reached $824m, compared with $841m in Q3 2025. Consolidated Adjusted EBITDA increased 2% to $383m, while net profit rose 17% to $133m. North American premium installed base expanded by 2,657 units during the quarter, marking its 25th consecutive quarter of growth.

CEO and President Matt Wilson said:

Our content-centric operating model is enhancing our recurring revenue business, as evidenced in the results. Sustained investment in studios and content is driving strong franchise performance across the portfolio, which builds our confidence heading into the fourth quarter and 2027. Gaming momentum continues, evidenced by our North American premium installed base growing for the 25th consecutive quarter. Further, Grover continues to scale across both existing and new markets.

Light & Wonder’s iGaming segment was the sole segment that produced revenue growth during the third quarter, with revenue rising by 13% to $97 million.

The company explained the results by citing the ongoing growth in the North American market, driven by its proprietary content and an increasing number of partners.

In contrast to this, revenues from the Gaming segment fell slightly by 1% to $554 m despite growth in the North American installed base. Rather, improvement in the Gaming Operations was offset by down performance in the Gaming Systems and Table Products segments.

Growth in the Gaming Operations sector came about primarily owing to the increase of the North American installed base of 3% and growth of gaming machines sales by 5% as well.

At the same time, revenues from the Gaming Systems segment fell sharply by 24%, mainly due to lower sales of hardware. Revenue from Table Products segment also dropped with a 7% decrease, which is a result of timing of global utility sales.

Light & Wonder net profit rises 17% to $133m

According to reports, operating costs for Light & Wonder dropped by 5% in comparison to the previous year, reaching $582 million. Because of this, the company has recorded a 6% increase in operating income which is $242 million. After including $75 million in other expenses, the pre-tax profit stands at $167 million, an increase of 20% compared to Q3 2025. After payment of $34 million tax charge, the net profit totals $133 million which translates into an increase of 17%.

During the first nine months of 2026, revenue reached $2.44 billion which is slightly above the $2.42 billion that was reported during the same period last year. The net profit for nine months increased by 5% reaching $305 million while consolidated Adjusted EBITDA grew by 5% and retained at the level of $1.09 billion.

Light & Wonder is expecting that its consolidated Adjusted EBITDA for the whole year will grow towards the lower end of the mid-to-high single-digit range that was announced before.
