Malta Gaming Authority revokes Winzon Group licence

The Malta Gaming Authority has revoked the operating licence of Winzon Group, with the decision applied retroactively to March 11, 2026.

The move was taken under regulation 10(2)(b) of Malta’s compliance framework. Winzon reportedly operated multiple iGaming platforms, including Comix Casino, although many of its sites are no longer active. Notably, Comix Casino still claims MGA licensing on its website despite the revocation.

As part of its obligations pursuant to this order, Winzon must send an email notification and post a notice on its site to all of its customers informing them that their licence has been cancelled. It is required that this notice remain posted for at least thirty (30) days.

In accordance with Maltese Gaming Laws, all player balances of verified customers must be returned by Winzon to such customers as of the date this order is issued. Winzon must provide proof of all account withdrawals (transaction records and supporting documents issued by banks) to ensure the timely return of all funds.

As per this order, even after being revoked, Winzon is still obliged to maintain the privacy of its customers and protect any data using its established policies and per all applicable data protection laws. By failing to provide a post-shutdown plan, the player will not be informed as to how their data will be maintained after the shutdown.

Additionally, Winzon must remove any indicia of authorisation from the MGA from any platform or medium and therefore shall not represent itself as a regulated entity, even though it does not possess a gaming licence.

These enforcement actions also include specific amounts owed by Winzon. Winzon owes the MGA €46,693.23 for past licensing and compliance fees and has incurred €147,080 in administrative penalties for multiple violations of the MGA rules and regulations.

Although no specifics regarding the violations alleged against Winzon were provided, the MGA has indicated that these violations constitute violations of locally applicable laws and regulatory provisions. All obligations, including those of Winzon, remain in effect regardless of this Order, and any failure by Winzon to comply or settle any of its obligations or debts may warrant further enforcement action.
