Catena Media, a prominent affiliate company, has announced the resignation of Michael Daly from his position as Chief Executive Officer.
Effective immediately, Daly’s departure triggers Pierre Cadena, currently serving as vice-president of corporate strategy at Catena, to step in as interim CEO.
As part of the departure terms, Daly will remain accessible to Catena during a transitional phase. Catena is set to initiate a search for a new CEO promptly.
Daly joined Catena in April 2018 as the US general manager, progressing to roles such as general manager for the Americas and president for North America before assuming the CEO position in March 2021. Before his tenure at Catena, Daly held roles as an industry consultant and as executive vice-president for North America at GAN. Earlier in his career, he held positions such as vice-president of online gaming at SHFL Entertainment, along with various senior roles at Bally Technologies and Shuffle Master.
Catena chairman Göran Blomberg said:
During Michael Daly’s tenure, Catena emerged as a key player in North America. Through strategic reviews, we successfully slashed our debt and optimized our organization. Now, as we confront slower growth, we’ve initiated various expansion strategies. Entering this pivotal phase, we are in search of fresh leadership to spearhead these initiatives and guide Catena into its next phase of development.
