Midnite Marathon: Super fan Jennie takes part in snooker-watching endurance challenge

Midnite, the official UK Betting and Casino Partner of this year’s World Snooker Championships, have given one lucky fan the chance to complete snooker’s ultimate endurance challenge, through its Midnite Marathon competition.

This competition is a first for the World Snooker Championships, and a dream come true for one dedicated fan. The winner will get the chance to watch every single minute of every single session across all 17 days of action at the Crucible Theatre. That is 46 sessions and nearly 200 hours of live snooker. A feat that has never been done before.

They will be seated right on the partition line inside the iconic venue, with a perfect view of both tables. This means that they will not miss a single shot, as they are able to watch two matches at once throughout the tournament. It is not just the ultimate snooker ticket, worth tens of thousands of pounds, but it is also a serious test of one’s devotion to the game.

Jennie Bancroft, from North Ayrshire, Scotland, has been announced as the competition’s winner, and she will take her seat at the Crucible for the much anticipated first day of the World Snooker Championships, this coming Saturday.

The betting and gaming giants opened up the competition to fans last week, with thousands entering.

Jennie Bancroft, the competition winner, said:

I am so excited to take on the Midnite Marathon challenge at the World Snooker Championships this year! It has not quite sunk in yet that I am going to watch nearly 200 hours of snooker, and I’m so grateful to Midnite for the opportunity. I have been a snooker fan for most of my life, and the next 17 days are sure to be incredible. I cannot wait to watch it all and soak up the incredible atmosphere at the Crucible.

Ryan Murton, Vice President, Commercial at Midnite commented:

The World Championships are the pinnacle of the sport, with fans clamouring for tickets. We wanted to give one lucky fan the chance to experience something completely unique, and watch every single session throughout the 17 days. We had a lot of entrants, which was great to see, and we are really pleased to be able to provide someone with an experience that they will never forget.
