Net profit falls despite IGT revenue growth in 2023

IGT saw a drop in net profit for 2023 compared to the previous year, despite a 2.0% rise in revenue to $4.31bn (£3.37bn/€3.94bn).

While group revenue for 2023 matched expectations and increased from $4.23bn in the prior year, growth primarily stemmed from its Global Gaming and PlayDigital sectors, with Global Lottery experiencing a decline.

Nevertheless, Global Lottery showed slight improvements in the final quarter of 2023, contributing to a strong year-end performance alongside growth in other segments.

Vince Sadusky, CEO of IGT, noted a robust fourth quarter, driving profits to record levels for the full year 2023. He attributed this success to a diverse range of products and solutions that boosted key performance indicators across Global Lottery, Global Gaming, and PlayDigital.
