Nevada gaming revenue to increase in August

The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has published its August gaming report, showing that the state’s casinos brought in $1.22bn in revenue – a 5.4% increase compared to the same month last year.

However, the figure was down from $1.36bn in July 2025.

Clark County, home to the Las Vegas Strip, downtown Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, the Boulder Strip, and nearby areas, generated $1.03bn, marking a 5.3% year-over-year rise. Within that, the Las Vegas Strip itself contributed $679.3m, up 5.5% from 2024.

Elsewhere in the state, Washoe County – which includes Reno, Sparks, and North Lake Tahoe — reported $98.1m, also up 5.3%. South Lake Tahoe casinos brought in $26.7m, a modest 0.5% increase, while the Carson Valley Area (covering Carson City, Gardnerville, Minden, and the rest of Douglas County outside South Lake Tahoe) reached $12.7m, up 3.3%.

Nevada collected $77.1m in percentage fees, a sharp 33.71% rise year-over-year.

Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has rolled out a new advertising and social media campaign with the tagline “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas.”

The campaign spans TV broadcasts, live activations, curated experiences, special offers, and brand partnerships. It officially launched with a 60-second commercial during the Dallas vs. Philadelphia football game on September 4.
