PlayCity fines BetKing $10,000 over compliance breach

SLOTS U.A. LLC, the operator that runs BetKing, was fined over $10,000 by PlayCity for not giving requested information in a timely manner to the government.

PlayCity posted on Telegram channel saying that when trying to operate lawfully in any jurisdiction the “timely and complete response to requests for information is not just the duty of a gambling operator but also a key factor of providing transparency to the gambling market.”

The fine was because of the delay in response time to an official request from regulators, and they also said that compliance and transparency is going to be critical to growing and operating a responsible gambling market in Ukraine.

Right after PlayCity launched a new online reporting tool for citizens to report illegal gambling advertising within the last month they also reported that they had suspended or removed a Twitch account due to the receipt of an illegal gambling promotion being submitted through the tool.

PlayCity claimed that Twitch had suspended the account and two days later removed it after completing their own internal investigation and reviewing the original submission.
