Raketech has put forward Kathryn Baker as its next Chair of the Board, with Magnus Alebo also nominated to join as a new board member.
If approved, both appointments will take effect on 30 July 2025, as current Chair Ulrik Bengtsson prepares to step down and exit the board entirely.
Baker, a seasoned expert with over 25 years in private equity, venture capital, and governance, has previously served as Chair at Catena Media and held a board seat at Gaming Innovation Group. Her strategic insight is expected to support Raketech through a phase of renewal after a tough financial year.
Alebo brings deep industry knowledge from his time at Betsson Group, William Hill, and Hero Gaming. He also founded Casumba Media, now part of Raketech’s portfolio. His background in operations and marketing is expected to reinforce the company’s affiliate and content strategies.
Johan Svensson, Raketech CEO, stated:
On behalf of everyone at Raketech, we are delighted about Kathryn’s proposed appointment as Chair of Raketech and welcoming Magnus to the Board.
Their leadership experience and deep sector expertise will be a significant asset, and I look forward to working with both of them as we focus on executing our strategy and delivering sustainable growth for our shareholders.
The announcement comes after a period of restructuring at Raketech, during which the company experienced a sharp drop in revenue and shifted its business strategy. For the full year 2024, the affiliate reported €61.2 million ($69.7 million) in revenue and an operating loss of €55 million.
