The Río Negro Lottery signed a new agreement with the Provincial Institute of Public Administration (IPAP) and the Secretariat of Public Function. It was a way to strengthen the professional training of lottery employees.
The agreement came to a conclusion at a ceremony attended by IPAP President Juana Benítez, Public Function Secretary Tania Lastra, and Río Negro Lottery Interventor Jorge Manzo.
With a new framework, all training courses for lottery agents will be officially certified by IPAP. Courses will be held both in-person and online. Those certificate will aid the workers to advance in their careers and get promotions.
Courses will include topics such as responsible gambling, illegal gambling prevention, and more data on AI.
IPAP President Juana Benítez said that there is a growing need for professional development, and certificates will support the workers’ career progression.
Lottery Interventionist Jorge Manzo highlights the program as a method to strengthen staff capabilities for long-term career development.
Moreover, the Lottery of the City of Buenos Aires (LOTBA) has introduced training sessions for individuals who are charged with illegal gambling offences. The program has been developed with the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Illegal Gambling (FEJA).
The sessions include legal, economic, and social consequences of illegal gambling. Officials note the importance of education and prevention.
LOTBA General Director Ezequiel Domínguez notes that the workshops are a part of a broader strategy of prevention and is aimed to spread awareness. It is a matter of regulatory issues, protections, and security.
