SiGMA Group has announced its acquisition of a majority stake in iGaming Academy, a leading provider of vocational and compliance training spanning over 25 jurisdictions, serving more than 60,000 gaming professionals annually. The transaction amount remains undisclosed.

This strategic move is poised to significantly enhance SiGMA’s existing portfolio by integrating diverse forms of industry education into its global event lineup and online network.

Eman Pulis, Founder of SiGMA Group, expressed enthusiasm, stating:

This acquisition aligns perfectly with our trajectory. Our longstanding collaboration with iGaming Academy has been fruitful. I admire Jaime and the Conexus Group’s accomplishments and anticipate fostering their growth through fresh initiatives and an expanded array of educational programs worldwide. The industry demands a surge in talent and regulatory acumen, particularly with ongoing market regulations. Thus, we aim to be proactive in this domain.

Rob Dowling, CEO of The Conexus Group, assured continuity, affirming:

Conexus remains actively engaged with iGaming Academy, ensuring our clients receive the exceptional training they expect. SiGMA’s strategic acquisition will enable iGaming Academy to enhance and broaden its service offerings, catering to the evolving training needs of the industry.

Jaime Debono, CEO of iGaming Academy stated:

For iGaming Academy, this acquisition signifies a significant milestone. Our mission has always been to educate the industry on regulatory compliance and vocational training for emerging markets. With SiGMA Group’s backing, we can expedite this strategy through their global events, enriching both training and event content, and reaching a broader audience than ever before.

Vinicius Moraes de Carvalho, Investment Partner at Ikigai Ventures, highlighted the strategic importance of the acquisition, stating:

The addition of iGaming Academy aligns with SiGMA’s vision, complementing our service offerings with comprehensive training resources for the igaming industry. We have full confidence in Jaime and his team and eagerly anticipate the forthcoming developments.

iGaming Academy will retain its existing organizational structure, with Jaime Debono continuing as CEO alongside his team. SiGMA’s corporate governance and marketing expertise will provide support, enabling iGaming Academy to thrive.

As part of the deal, iGaming Academy plans to establish an office in Cyprus to expand its online offerings and content development. Furthermore, revenue streams will be strengthened through new affiliate partnerships, with additional courses available in multiple languages to meet global training demands.
