SOFTSWISS, a leading software provider in the iGaming industry, has announced the launch of its private Bug Bounty program to enhance cybersecurity.
The program invites white hat hackers and independent security researchers to identify vulnerabilities, offering a reward for their findings and guaranteeing the highest level of security for SOFTSWISS customers.
To ensure that only significant cases that meet certain requirements are reported, SOFTSWISS has launched a private, invite-only program. Invite-only programs encourage white hat hackers to pay close attention to their terms and requirements, resulting in higher quality reports. While public programs may offer broader perspectives but tend to generate more irrelevant reports, a private launch ensures that the focus is on critical security issues.
The Bug Bounty program offers financial rewards of up to €3,500 depending on the severity and complexity of the vulnerabilities discovered. This program serves as an additional layer of protection by providing external, unbiased assessments from highly qualified security experts.
Evgeny Zaretskov, Chief Information Security Officer of the SOFTSWISS Group, said:
We care about the security of our customers and their players, so it is important for us not only to pay close attention to the protection of the products we develop, but also to constantly re-check our applications with experienced external experts and enthusiasts. In cooperation with the expert community, we can ensure a reliable level of data protection and uninterrupted operation for all our customers. SOFTSWISS is proud to set a new standard in cybersecurity using crowdsourced expertise. In this constantly changing environment, even a minor error can lead to significant losses for operators. The Bug Bounty program is an additional measure to protect our existing and future customers.
The program began with two products: the SOFTSWISS Casino platform and the SOFTSWISS Sportsbook. It is conducted in a dedicated testing environment that operates independently of the live casino systems, ensuring that there are no disruptions to player experience or platform performance.
Artem Buchkov, Deputy Director of Security, commented:
Cybersecurity is a constant battle. No company can discover all vulnerabilities on its own. This program allows talented hackers to legally hack online casinos, helping us anticipate and protect against potential threats. It reinforces our commitment to providing the most secure software and platforms in the iGaming industry.
Going forward, the SOFTSWISS cybersecurity team plans to expand the scope by adding more products and specifying requirements to maintain the highest security standards across all platforms.
Cybersecurity in iGaming, as well as other key topics in the industry, can be discussed with our experts and product teams at the SBC Summit in Lisbon, stand B-160 from 24th to 26th September.
