Stella David has been appointed as Entain’s new permanent chief executive, effective immediately, after previously serving twice as interim CEO.
According to an announcement from Entain, David succeeds Gavin Isaacs, who resigned from the position in February. Following Isaacs’ departure, David stepped in as interim CEO – her second time in the role, having also temporarily led the company after Jette Nygaard-Andersen’s exit in late 2023. This marks her first time holding the CEO position on a full-time basis.
David had also served as Entain’s chairman starting in April 2024 but stepped down from that role when she assumed interim CEO duties earlier this year. She originally joined Entain’s board as a non-executive director in March 2021.

Alongside her responsibilities at Entain, Stella David also serves as chair of Norwegian Cruise Lines, having joined as a non-executive director in January. Her past roles include serving as CEO of WM Grant & Sons, as well as holding senior leadership positions at Bacardi, where she was both senior vice president and chief marketing officer, and later regional president. She currently remains a non-executive director at Bacardi.
David’s previous board experience also includes non-executive director roles at Nationwide Building Society, New Look Retail Group, HomeServe UK, and Domino’s. Additionally, she spent a year as chair of Vue International.
