ACMA restricts an additional six unauthorized casinos

Australia’s Communication and Media Authority has recently added six more online casino operators to its extensive list of restricted offshore websites.

The six new operators that were recently restricted are:

  • 24 Casino
  • Olympia Casino
  • Boomerang Casino
  • Rock n Reels
  • Stellar Spins
  • Pokie Surf

The mentioned websites were restricted in the country because of their violations of the Australian gambling laws, namely the Interactive Gambling Act of 2001.

This latest enforcement action takes the total amount of blocked websites in Australia to over 680. This includes both gambling operators and affiliate companies.

Since the last time we covered the regulator’s restrictions back in August of 2022, it has blocked over 130 additional illegal web pages.

Furthermore, nearly 200 unauthorized services have left the market on their own since ACMA’s first enforcement actions took place back in 2019.

Lastly, the regulatory body warns customers to check the online gambling websites they play at, as unregistered operators will lack many of the key protections that regulated services offer.
