Leading gaming content company Aristocrat Interactive has joined a growing number of well-known names in the sector to donate funds to support BetBlocker, the only blocking software offered to players who need help managing access to online gambling, completely free of charge.
The charity was recently recognized with the National Council on Problem Gambling’s (NCPG) annual Jim Wuelfing Prevention Award and is supporting record numbers of new users, with an average of over 50 devices connecting to the service every day.
BetBlocker founder and trustee Duncan Garvey said of the donation:
The BetBlocker project has gained significant momentum throughout 2024, receiving recognition from some of the most prestigious and established organizations in the sector, as well as support from industry event organizers helping to raise awareness of the services we provide. But the simple truth is that none of what we do would be possible without the donations we receive from socially conscious businesses across the sector. The BetBlocker team and I are extremely grateful to Aristocrat for the support they have offered. This support ensures that we can continue to support the tens of thousands of people who use BetBlocker every day to help them manage their access to gambling responsibly and minimise gambling harm.
