Danish gambling GGR reaches DKK 7.27bn for 2024

The Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden) has reported total gross gaming revenue (GGR) of DKK 7.27bn ($1.02bn) for 2024, reflecting a 6.9% year-on-year increase across the country’s four main gambling markets.

Online casino GGR contributed nearly half of the total, reaching DKK 3.53bn, a 14.7% rise from 2023. December was the strongest month, with gaming machines accounting for 78.2% of online casino GGR.

Among the four sectors, gaming machines was the only vertical to decline, with a 1.2% drop to DKK 1.16bn, averaging DKK 3.18m in daily GGR.

Land-based casinos, which held the smallest share of overall GGR, recorded DKK 368m, marking a 1.7% increasefrom 2023. Meanwhile, betting GGR grew 1.2% to DKK 2.21bn, with mobile betting leading the way, accounting for 66.3% of total stakes.
