DAZN to confirm the departure of its CEO Joe Markowski

Joe Markowski, CEO of DAZN in North America, will be departing the sports streaming service after a tenure of 13 years.

Markowski initially joined the PERFORM family as an account director in 2011, later transitioning to DAZN in 2015. During his time, he held various executive positions in both Japan and North America.

DAZN stated in an official announcement:

Joe has been instrumental in shaping DAZN over the past 13 years, contributing significantly to the establishment of our global boxing platform and expanding our footprint in Japan and the US. DAZN expresses gratitude for Joe’s dedication, deep industry knowledge, and strategic vision throughout his tenure, and we extend our best wishes for his future endeavors.

While Markowski will continue to serve as an advisor to the company, Pete Oliver will assume responsibility for overseeing the global boxing proposition.
