Delaware gambling revenue grows in December

The Delaware gambling market saw an increase in revenue in the month of December.

Starting off with the main figures, the state’s revenue from sports wagering and gambling amounted to about 2.6 million dollars in the month. This represents quite a substantial improvement in comparison to November’s revenue statistics of around 2.2 million dollars.

About 1.2 million dollars of the total revenue number originated from gambling activities, while the rest came from sports wagering. Looking at each vertical individually, the former grew by over 50% in comparison to the revenue statistics of the month of November, while the latter stayed almost the same at 1.4 million dollars earned.

This month’s revenue came from combined consumer spending of over 52 million dollars, the majority of which, approximately 44 million dollars, was spent on online gambling. It is also noteworthy to mention that the most popular pastime for Delawarean players is lottery video games, as the genre accounted for just shy of 900 thousand dollars of revenue in the month of December.

Lastly, the state’s most productive gambling businesses were Delaware Park, Bally’s Dover, and Harrington Raceway, each of which made around 800 thousand, 465 thousand, and 335 thousand dollars respectively.
