Delaware records highest iGaming revenue in August

The state of Delaware has set a new high for the revenue generated from the iGaming sector in the month of August.

Delaware has reported a jump in revenue generated from iGaming companies operating in the jurisdiction in August, which resulted in a new record. The industry generated over 1.3 million dollars for the state in the month, up from about a million recorded in August of the prior year.

The iGaming sector generated a number of other impressive statistics in the month as well, such as the figure of just under 37 million dollars that players in the region spent on playing and betting. Despite being up by nearly 70% compared to the period last year, the number is down compared to the previous month by just shy of 7%.

iGaming remains responsible for the largest portion of the state’s revenue, accounting for about a million dollars. Players spent over 21 million dollars enjoying various iGaming experiences. Sports betting accounted for the rest of the sector at over 350 thousand dollars, with a total of nearly 3 million dollars spent on wagering by customers.

The title of the leading iGaming operator in Delaware still remains in the hands of Delaware Park, as they made more than 700 thousand dollars in revenue in the month, both from online gambling and betting.
