Genius Sports Limited has forged a new alliance with the Lithuanian Basketball League (Betsafe-LKL), a prominent entity in European basketball.
This partnership entails the implementation of Genius Sports’ computer vision system across all league venues.
Betsafe-LKL will pioneer the integration of eventing data capture, comprehensive tracking data, and high-quality live video production, all through a unified system. Leveraging its advanced AI capabilities, Genius Sports aims to convert this data and video content into valuable insights, immersive fan engagements, and fresh sponsorship avenues for the league and its teams.
Genius Sports utilizes AI technology to interpret and process real-time gameplay, offering insights tailored to coaches, players, and fans alike.
Every team within Betsafe-LKL will gain access to Genius Sports’ Insight tool, an advanced coaching and analysis platform already adopted by every NBA team. Insight combines detailed tracking data with video footage, empowering analysts to swiftly address tactical and performance inquiries.
Moreover, through AI-driven augmentation, Genius Sports will enhance the viewing experience for Betsafe-LKL enthusiasts. This entails enriching live broadcasts with real-time data and graphics, along with creating new sponsorship opportunities for the league’s partners.
The rollout of Genius Sports’ computer vision system has commenced in Betsafe-LKL stadiums, with completion expected by the 2024/25 season.
