Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has made history by becoming the inaugural laboratory to secure accreditation for evaluating online gaming, wagering, and retail sports betting in Peru.
This milestone cements GLI’s enduring partnership with the General Directorate of Casino Games and Slot Machines (DGJCMT), expanding its services from traditional land-based testing to the dynamic realm of online gaming and sports betting.
The company emphasized that this accreditation signifies formal approval for GLI to assess and audit a diverse range of online gaming, wagering, and retail sports betting platforms in compliance with the new regulations introduced in 2023.
James Maida, President & CEO of GLI, expressed gratitude towards the DGJCMT for the transparency and clarity evident in the new accreditation process for Peru.
He emphasized that obtaining this accreditation reaffirms GLI’s dedication to both the regulator and the industry, ensuring readiness to meet compliance requirements and crucial deadlines outlined in the new regulations. Maida highlighted the potential for Peru to once again set a regulatory benchmark for the region and globally. Reflecting on GLI’s 26-year journey, he commended the integrity and professionalism demonstrated by the Peru regulatory body and its team, underscoring their reputation as a model for jurisdictions across Latin America due to their meticulous regulatory procedures and unwavering commitment.
