Keurmerk Verantwoorde Affiliates (KVA) has held a second meeting with the Dutch Gambling Authority (KSA) to explore effective strategies for addressing illegal advertising and irresponsible affiliate marketing.
KVA, which promotes a “responsible online gambling market,” grants its quality seal only to affiliates operating under proper licences. In a message to members and partners, the association emphasized that the KSA supports its mission and agrees that curbing illegality depends on maintaining an attractive regulated market.
The statement noted:
We therefore expect this to be taken into account in future policymaking.
KVA further revealed its active role within the KSA’s marketing group, where it is working to combat illegal advertising and affiliation while monitoring emerging technologies relevant to the sector. The organisation underlined the importance of thorough research, stressing that evidence-based insights must guide the development of new affiliate marketing regulations.
The Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security also took part in the working group, highlighting the broad scope of collaboration. KVA confirmed its commitment to continuing these joint efforts and sharing research with the regulator going forward.
