SkyCity denies liability in online casino legal case

SkyCity says it isn’t behind the claims. They’ll fight any lawsuits from an unknown group targeting SkyCity, SkyCity Auckland Holdings, and Silvereye Entertainment over online casino issues.

It seems like they’re taking the matter seriously. Plus, they’re standing strong on this.

The New Zealand-based operator said:

The proceedings seek to test the lawfulness of the online gaming operations operated by Silvereye on behalf of an overseas subsidiary of SkyCity (SkyCity Online). The proceedings include an application for leave to bring the proceedings as a funded class action in respect of gambling monies lost to SkyCity Online between February 2020 and February 2026. SkyCity denies any such liability and will actively defend the proceedings.

Gaming Innovation Group runs SkyCity Online Casino for SkyCity Malta, a separate part of SkyCity Entertainment Group.
