This achievement marks a significant milestone, bringing the company closer to the launch of its Tooniebet.com iGaming brand.
Securing the Certificate of Registration (Nbr: OPIG1280338) from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) paves the way for Soft2Bet to expand further into the world’s largest regulated jurisdictions.
Ontario has emerged as a notable success story in the realm of regulated online sports betting and casino activities in North America over the past two years. Since the province introduced its regulations in April 2022, the latest data for the fourth quarter of 2023 indicates a remarkable 21% surge in wagers to CA$17.2 billion and a 22% increase in gross gaming revenues to CA$658 million, marking the highest revenue total in Ontario’s wagering history. Notably, online casino activities have been the primary driver behind this growth, contributing CA$13.7 billion in total stakes and generating CA$471 million in gross gaming revenues.
