Washington DC iGaming industry experiences growth

The iGaming sector in the Washington DC area has recently experienced an increase in revenue.

The online gambling and betting industry in Washington DC has grown for the first time after two months in August. The sector as a whole expanded, reaching total revenues in excess of 1.8 million dollars, a stark contrast to July’s figure of 1.2 million.

The expansion came as player spending went up, which was recorded at over 13 million dollars in the month of August. The number was up by nearly 16% from the previous month’s amount of 11 million dollars.

Lastly, breaking down the numbers by individual operators, Caesars, Gambet and BetMGM occupied the top three spots. Each of them earned 680 thousand, 560 thousand and 360 thousand dollars respectively.

In total, the top three shared over 85% of the market, with the two other licensed operators in the jurisdiction earning less than 250 thousand combined.
