The Gambling Commission has suspended the licence of an Adult Gaming Centre in Bradford due to multiple regulatory breaches, including failure to support responsible gambling efforts and lack of a customer complaints process.
Wyke Gaming & Amusement Centre, located in Hanover Square, Wyke, has had its licence revoked with immediate effect. The operator did not participate in the mandatory multi-operator self-exclusion scheme, which helps individuals manage gambling issues by allowing them to exclude themselves from multiple venues.
Additionally, the venue failed to establish a proper system for handling customer complaints and disputes through an alternative dispute resolution service. It was also found to be in violation of section 172(1) of the Gambling Act by exceeding the permitted limit for Category B gaming machines, which must not account for more than 20% of total machines on-site.
The suspension will remain in place until the Commission confirms that the operator is fully compliant with all regulatory requirements.
