The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) in Brazil has charged the online gaming company Blaze a sum of BRL 2.3 million for supposed advertising of gambling targeting kids.
The firm’s parent organization had been awarded the fine, known as Foggo Entertainment Ltda., which is provided with a deadline of 10 days to become a party in its appeal with regulators.
The SPA has concentrated its investigation on the content created by the influencer João Caetano, who boasts over 18 million followers on social media including YouTube and Instagram. The authorities discovered videos that were created between March and July 2025, which made a direct appeal to children and teenagers.
Even though Blaze claims to have ceased any cooperation with the said influencer after learning about its alleged wrongdoing, the regulator stated that the company had included content guidelines in its agreement, which puts the responsibility on Blaze.
Foggo Entertainment claimed that their ventures and commercial partnerships respect regulations in Brazil and that the company is performing efforts aimed at improving compliance processes and internal controls.
The penalty is being issued amid other ongoing legal scrutiny of Blaze operations in the given country. In another case, the Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories recently ordered the removal of betting advertisements featuring influencer Virginia Fonseca during the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a lawsuit filed by federal prosecutors.
