Scientific Games and Random State have received approval from the UAE’s General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), becoming the latest companies to secure Gaming Related Vendor licences in the country.
These approvals allow both international gaming technology firms to operate within the UAE’s emerging lottery sector, bringing the total number of licensed suppliers to nine. Previously licensed vendors include major slot machine and payment solution providers such as IGT Global Services, Novomatic, and Aristocrat Technologies Europe.
The GCGRA, established in 2023, is responsible for regulating gambling, national lottery, and commercial gaming activities in the UAE. In June 2023, it granted the country’s sole lottery licence to The Game LLC, and later in 2024, issued the first land-based casino licence to Wynn Resorts.
With operations already spanning 50 countries, Scientific Games expressed enthusiasm about entering the UAE lottery market with its products and services.
