As a result of the cooperation between KRAIL and Google LLC, which was made possible thanks to the assistance of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, 19 mobile applications with illegal gambling were blocked on the digital distribution platform of the company Google Play.
KRAIL strengthens countermeasures against the negative consequences of gambling on the Internet in connection with the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated April 20, 2024 “Regarding countermeasures against the negative consequences of gambling on the Internet”, put into effect by the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated April 20 No. 234/2024 of 2024.
The decision of the National Security Council was adopted with the aim of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of Ukrainian citizens and preventing the aggressor state from using the peculiarities of the field of gambling.
It should be noted that today it is illegal gambling operators who, in violation of legal requirements, use Google services to promote their services and directly provide such services through mobile applications.
KRAIL requests that in case of detection of mobile applications with illegal gambling on international digital distribution platforms, to report it to KRAIL using a special electronic form Notification of violations in the field of gambling placed in the section “Notice of violations in the field of gambling” on the main page official KRAIL website, or call the free hotline: (0800) 50-13-77.
