MGM Resorts announces the Osaka development plan

MGM Resorts International has recently made an announcement about the lately discussed project plan given by Osaka City and Osaka IR KK (jointly established by ORIX Corporation and MGM Resorts Japan) to get an official certification from Japan’s Government.

According to Japan’s IR Development Act, this certification marks the last stages of getting a license and enables MGM Resorts Japan and ORIX to reach final deals with the city concerning the project’s realization, which is worth around 10 bln dollars.

Bill Hornbuckle, the CEO of MGM, expressed his honor to be chosen by the Japanese Government to undertake such a massive project. He conveyed his excitement to initiate the burgeoning of one of Japan’s first IRs and eagerly anticipates cooperating alongside companion ORIX and Osaka City to achieve such awaited objective.

According to license processing, MGM Resorts unveiled the specifics of its suggested project in Osaka in 2021/22. The plan exhibits MGM’s objective of presenting a firstrate resort practice to the city, thereby making it one of the leading hospitality and casino locations around the globe. The offered development plan is targeted to provide with pivotal point for tourism in Japan.
